That will eliminate most AC Delco parts.

I bought one for my '61 from Corvette Central and it was a major league POS. The swing arm was binding among other things...and even after playing around with it some the accuracy was horrid.

I resurrected my original, fixed it, and all was well. If yours is repairable that would be the route I'd recommend...

Please PM me also - I'll be interested to see how your results align with mine.

Real Time reproduction door panel angst on this '61 I have here.(I just saw that word here today and I think it's appropriate to use now) What? $1,200 a Pair plus Shipping? And you expect them to fit and not need rework? This just happened.

After bending the heck out of the nice flattened catch in the upper metal so it would fit over the inner garnish tab....

I installed the panel with all of the screws. Hmm, looks pretty good. Can't wait to get the other side done.....

Oh, wait. What's this? WT(you fill in expletive here).

I checked the latch lever, and guess what.....LOOSE BEZEL. Off the panel comes..... Who the heck made this one? The backer board oval is cut out way too big, or the bezel was specified in millimeters and the guy over there got his math wrong, and the tabs were hardly bent over. Geesh, here we go again. Everything takes an hour.

Oh, but wait, there's more. I see the outer reflector got pushed on when I screwed the panel on, and when I took it off, it's dangling there in the air. Nice retainer piece, kinda like 6 pieces of aluminum foil glued together, soft like mush. I had to bend it back to shape and add another bend to keep it tight. What a joke.

Forget about it. I'm going in for dinner. Looks like a job for Tomorrowman.

Just another example of what happens when non-factory type tooling is used to manufacture parts.

Really not happy with 65-67 door panel, carpet is incorrect weave, seat backs are no where close, convertible tops are not close, tinted windshield, and batteries. I am sure there are a lot more. The market is there for correct parts. With today's technology there should be no reason why parts are not 100% correct
I had good luck with the Paragon reproduction (NOT service replacement - they have both versions) C2 A/C vacuum control valve. Also bought the bracket, screw, and retaining clip, all of which went together as designed.
