I will update this initial post with new files as I receive them. If you have a file you'd like to add, feel free to create a new post and when time permits I will add it to the "Update Page" for ease of access, or contact me by Member email if you want to send me files or photos. Member PMs or Emails do not allow attachments unless from a URL.

Eventually these updated files will be added to the main page list.

Edits to this post that I make will not send you a email notification so keep an eye on this thread for updates even though you may be subscribed to it. This Thread is a continued work in progress. Many thanks to all that have helped to improve this feature.

Original Post: July 4, 2017
There was discussion a while ago about constructing a place for historical restoration and informational documents. Until that happens this may be a start as a placeholder of information.

Attached is a compilation of documents I have collected over the years. Most of what this consists of are converted HTML files from our own TDB and other Public Forums. Special thanks to Dave Zuberer for PDF conversion and Professionalizing many of the HTML Forum threads, and so many others who have contributed to this information. When more becomes available I will add them in the UPDATE Page.

Also attached are JPG files I've either created or acquired from others.

The names of the files are self explanatory. A simple method to search this list is to use your Browser presently viewed page Search function, the "Ctrl F" keystroke. This will search the text within the post for the keyword(s) entered. Enter the keyword in the Search box after Ctrl F is typed and it should bring you to what you're looking for.

Rich, This is awesome. Thank you so much for all of your knowledge and willingness to share. This is what NCRS is all about. Members helping each other. You and several others do so much to help us all. I just hope that the board takes this fantastic lead and runs with it.

Here's a better little better jpg of the 67-68 signal switch schematic for your files:



I'm on my 4th replacement as of last week, and have swapped switches about 6 or 7 times in the last 10 years. I guess it is about time I finished my Restorer story. I promise within the next year. Most problems with the single switch are with the cam on it. It's all in the cam.

Excellent suggestion about using "The Restorer" for such information and research. That way it is shared by all members and can be documented on CD's which are presently available to all members.
They can be ordered thru the NCRS store.

Problem with the CD, and I paid for one mind you, is they are a snapshot in time. The NCRS aught to just host all the articles online, and charge an extra subscription fee, let's say 10 bucks a year, that you pay every year and give you access to everything. Instead every ten years or so, you need to repay for what you already paid for, plus the little bit extra. if that isn't feasible, they should charge some kind of discounted upgrade fee vs recharging all over again... I would pay that rather than have to thumb through all my issues on the shelf, but I wont pay another 50 bucks I already paid...

Instead every ten years or so, you need to repay for what you already paid for, plus the little bit extra. if that isn't feasible, they should charge some kind of discounted upgrade fee vs recharging all over again... I would pay that rather than have to thumb through all my issues on the shelf, but I wont pay another 50 bucks I already paid...

Agreed Ian, I have an early CD and there is so much out there that goes beyond it. A web based PDF library would be current and easily located. Thanks for putting this together Rich. Your work is a great resource. Eric

I'm on my 4th replacement as of last week, and have swapped switches about 6 or 7 times in the last 10 years. I guess it is about time I finished my Restorer story. I promise within the next year. Most problems with the single switch are with the cam on it. It's all in the cam.

Having too much fun in the meantime.

Jerry, Thank you for that copy. Are you the originaltor of that? It's great. I've used it many times when wiring a car up on the bench and troubleshooting faults on 67's.

Yes a Restorer article would be great too. It takes a while to get it up on top of Vinnie's queue but it's worth it to get it on paper for all members.

Yes, I'm the originator of the schematic. I drew it out of frustration in trying to figure out the problems with this Boyne switch.
You'll seen a number posts in the archives on it under my name and It's all in the Cam. Here's one that doesn't have the pictures lost:

I just received many files from Ed Szeliga's collection. He had some MS Docx files, but I suggested we only supply PDF's so anyone can read them from any computer platform and from anywhere, even a smartphone. So he spent the time and converted each one of those to PDF. Here they are below. I need to get a few files reduced so those will come later.

There may be some duplicates from Post#1. This will become a Monster, and let it be so. Better to have a Monster than the Invisible Man.

When time permits it would be best to catalog, alphabetize, and organize. If anyone wants to jump in to help out, now's your chance. Suggestions welcome.

Dave Zuberer spent quite a bit of time and re-created Jerry's fine 67-68 Directional Switch Diagram with colorized wiring. He sent it to me last night. Thanks Dave!
