No but it is a slow and nerve racking process. I removed the bumper, grills, head lights and any item attached to the header bar. I did leave the center round support rod in place to stabilize the nose. Remember to reuse the bonding strip if you leave it out the head lights will not align properly.

Paul I have a few questions then we can put this to bed.

1) How did you remove the rivets and did you drill into the bonding strips to remove the rest of the rivet?
2) What glue did you use?
3) Where can I buy the rivets to install as you said?

I removed the entire assembly bonding strip and headlight header bar. I then drilled out the bucked rivet heads and separated the headed and bonding strip. I did that back in 1999 so then epoxy is most likely a different then what is available today. I would check with your locate paint and body supplier for the correct product for your fiberglass. Then rivets can be obtained from any Corvette vendor. Here is Corvette Central item
