I know the picture you are talking about and the interesting thing about that photo is if you look in the background they are putting the last piece in place for the arch. Kind of a neat picture really.

That reminds me of a certain group on the NCRS National Road Tour. Except it was the grille opening. I think it was Anaheim, site of the famous Diabolical Dipstick and Maryland Mucous drag race.

The guy in the picture is Nat Reeder. He worked at a place called Fiberglass Auto Body on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. They say he was quite an artisan when it came to fiberglass. He did the work on Dave MacDonald's "00" Corvette racer and did the fiberglass panels for Andy Granatelli's first turbine car that almost won Indy in 1967.

Jay Leno showed up for the signing. It was a great day of fun and reunion with old friends.

Jim, thanks for posting the pictures from Nat's catalog. ($60 for a mag!! Outrageous!!) I was at the book signing as well. It was quite a day. At the time, Autobooks was owned by Chet Knox. He was an NCRS member going back to the '70s thru his company, American Fabrication in Burbank. Not sure when he left NCRS. Probably about the same time American Fabrication closed up shop. Thanks again.
