The idler arm is correct, original configuration. The tie rod ends are aftermarket replacements----probably Moog brand.

i suspected that. Thanks for your help. I found some other rod ends that I think might be original and I will post a picture of those tonight

Ok, one more time. Do these rod ends look like originals?

I don't think these are originals, either. A side profile view would be most helpful in confirming this.

Your second photos of tie rod ends look correct from my experience. Those numbers cast in on the grease fitting side seem to be all most any numbers. I say that from experience of removing many shot originals. They may be cavity core number. But that’s just my thought.

I would assume GM multi sourced tie rod ends so there may be other versions.

I was wrong. These are originals. I know of no other tie rod ends with the configuration seen in these latest pictures you posted (except some recent "reproductions" and these are obviously not recent "reproductions").

As far as I know, all of these GM tie rod ends, PRODUCTION and SERVICE, were forged and assembled at Chevrolet-Buffalo. That plant was "spun-off" to American Axle and Manufacturing (AAM) many years ago and that's about when the manufacture of these ceased. They continued to be available from GMSPO inventory until it was depleted.

A caution: idler arms and tie rod ends are extremely difficult to assess as to their usability. They can seem just fine off the car but fail to perform satisfactorily when on the car. A lot of time when you find used parts like these, they came off the car they were originally installed on for a reason. Guess the reason?
