Re: 1967 Perfect Restoration
No. I've seen both cars more than once, and not because I was judging them.
They were really that good.
I've seen other restorations done by both, and they're usually just as nice. It always helps to start with a complete car, of course.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

Re: 1967 Perfect Restoration
Wow. Nice. As a member of the 67 Team i can't understand this mindless commentary. Have you ever judged at a Regional or National event on the 67 team? I assume not. I can't speak for any other team, but being a member of the 67 team I can honestly tell you that each member has one unified mission - to judge each car in a benign, unbiased way. It doesn't matter if we know the owner or not. In fact, i have judge friends car's in the past and have applied the same criteria to their cars as each other members car's that i have judged. I spent years being an OJ on the 67 team, and have worked to a point that i have had the privilege of being asked to judge Regionally and Nationally. My fellow judges are the most knowledgeable judges i have been around. We respect the owners, the car's and the history of the Corvette. The members on the 67 team have a level of knowledge that rivals that of any other judging organization (I can not speak of any other NCRS team as i only have judged 67's).
The accusation that you make in your post is insensitive and counter-productive to the whole mission of the NCRS. I personally have judged both "100" point cars and the level of those cars rivals a standard that few can acquire. The owners went to the lengths of not leaving one stone unturned with their cars. Flippant comments like this implies the wrong, unfounded and patently untrue reality of our organization. ARA- Top

Re: 1967 Perfect Restoration
Keith. No. It’s called taking pride in what you do and going to extra mile with the details when you restore the car. That is on top of having REAL parts that sometimes are almost impossible to find. You obviously don’t know the Blue 67, Frank or how he restores a car or I wouldn’t have to take the time to write this. Jeff.- Top

Re: 1967 Perfect Restoration
I know nothing about the two cars but I have been to Harbor. Their level of work is second to no one. PERIOD. I have appraised a couple of cars they have restored and the detail is unbelievableDick Whittington- Top

Re: 1967 Perfect Restoration
Just to be clear I am not knocking the level of detail that went into the cars or the shop that did the work. Anyone who ever got a high score knows how much effort it goes in to get it that fair. Then to bring that up a notch is incredible. So my hats off to the owner for that level of detail- Top
