    Re: Jacks Jacks Jacks

I do not know what all vehicle applications this jack was used, BUT, from what I've learned, the early-mid 50s 1/2ton pickups got this jack when delivered new.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, maybe checking some old, remote junk yards with old Chevy pickups may possibly yield a gem.

Hey Tom, every once in a while I see an original jack painted red on eBay. I wonder if those are the truck ones? Or just a lot of guys really liked to paint their jacks red? hmmm

Thanks, looks like I have a repo. Probably going to sell it and don't want to misrepresent it.

            Ian,
Many years ago there was an article in the Restorer which said this same jack was sold thru Western Auto Stores and was red in color. Can't recall the issue with the article hopefully someone will.

The red jacks were sold through NAPA stores. They were manufactured by the same manufacturer as the early Corvette jacks and differed only in the color of the paint. Have one with the sticker on top.

Hi Richard. If you do decide to sell it, PM me with your price. I may be interested in buying it from you.
