Sure.... Note I edited the post a few times so make sure to refresh your screen.
Lefts are harder to find than rights. Note that last link says it's a right but looks like a left to me.

Re: Need 1956-62 Inside-Door Door Post Bracket
Hi all,
Thanks to everyone trying to help, but I am back to Square One.
Sorry I didn't make it clear what I was looking for, so I have finally found a picture (attached) of what I, for lack of a better term, call a door post bracket, out of the car. This is what I need a pair of.
I have all the window channel brackets. The window channel bracket bolts to the door post bracket and the door post slides into the door post bracket and also bolts to it. The door post bracket actually is held to the bottom of the door with aluminum rivets. Someone took mine out at one time to plate them and I have everything inside the doors except the two door post brackets.
Thanks,
Bob- Top

Re: Need 1956-62 Inside-Door Door Post Bracket
Bob, Sorry I was looking for the wrong parts earlier. Now I see.
What year are you working on? Those are door reinforcements. 1956 and early 1957(to apx June 57) didn't use those.
From my 1957 AIM Part#'s 3749249 L & 3749250 R

Re: Need 1956-62 Inside-Door Door Post Bracket
Rich,
I shouldn't have assumed that it fit 1956-62! The car I am working on is 1957 VIN 4062 that is my '57 CA race car that raced from around late 1964 into at least March 1967 or maybe later. Build date is May 17, 1957. My first pic is from my Lil Twister drag race Corvette project that raced BM/SP sometime between 1961 to 1967. That VIN is 4403 with build of June 4, 1957.
This piece is something that no one would need to replace unless the door was hit during an accident. I guess I should look at my later AIMs and see how i can attach the post without this piece.
But I'll still take a pair if I can find them!
Thanks,

Re: Need 1956-62 Inside-Door Door Post Bracket
Bob,
So just as a check if they ever had them... Are the holes there for the rivets at the bottom of the doors?
But then again I'm getting a bit unsure now. I think those were not there on the 56 & E57. I know the underdash braces weren't there but now wondering about the doors. I'll have to dig out my Noland Adams volume 1 to be sure.......
Edit. Noands Vol1 page 138 says both dash and door reinforcements around vin 4300. He has a good photo of the door reinforcements. But I'm not sure how the front window channel would be attached without them.

Re: Need 1956-62 Inside-Door Door Post Bracket
Bob, I did more searching and found that those part#'s changed in March of 1961
3749249 became 3767351
3749250 became 3767352
I found one 3767351 on ebay Here
s-l1600.jpg
Note that it is steel. The early parts were aluminum with riveted plates. The later parts had spotwelds. I believe all underdash, rocker, and door reinforcements changed from bolted/riveted aluminum to spot welded steel late 1959 or early 1960.
I could not find a 3767352.

Bob,
Recalled that Paragon sells the dash/door/underbody reinforcements if that's what you're looking for.

This is what a 1960 looked like before and after some self made repair parts. Paragon was out of stock so I made my own. Factory spotwelded the pieces together. I bolted them in on this car.

A 1959(March car) used aluminum with bolts and rivets holding the pieces together.

Re: Need 1956-62 Inside-Door Door Post Bracket
Good job Rich!
IIRC Paragon makes the inside the door reinforcements as well. Don't have their part number.
Bob should give Paragon a call if he can't find used braces.

Re: Need 1956-62 Inside-Door Door Post Bracket
Good idea. Paragon makes some unique parts.
.... I just checked online and didn't see them but best for Bob to call to be sure. They may be able to help find some used parts too.
