Bill Williamson had a pretty extensive survey, but I'm not sure what happened to his work after he passed away. Steve Walker may know.

don't know how i screwed up registering our three 65 FI corvettes. the registry has them listed as 250 HP. I distinctly remember checking the L84 box when i registered earlier today. will have rob look into the mis-information. thanks for the heads up dan. mike

Circling back to the post that started this: The Nassau blue convertible with blue/white interior is #17224. St. Louis body S5588. 900FF paint. J10 trim tag. Owner says trim is 45186. Not sure of the accuracy on the trim data--school me on this if you will. Most original underhood components are long gone.

Trim 451B? represents white/bright blue leather seat interior in a convertible . The 86 you were quoted should be two lettters. The first letter should be B for convertible. A for coupe. The owner needs to take a second look. We both know a picture is worth a thousands words. Paint FF is Nassau Blue. All St Louis bodies have the 900 prefix. Body build date J10= May 10th. You have access to this stuff don't you Mike?

I do. Was just adding this to the data file, and knew the trim data (45186) was incorrect.

                      Re: 65 396 survey?

Here is a pic of a 65 ragtop from circa 1971/72. I bought it for parts. no engine trans or rear. Reason I think it is a BB is the rear sway bar, heavy front sway bar and accelerator rod and arm. Trim tag and Vin tag were removed. Title has a Z after the vin, no clue if that is a state iissued designation or vette.
Perhaps someone can confirm or deny it as a BB from this old pic. pic of date stamp from lower edge of right frnt fender. Front fender emblem holes were glassed over but the back side clearly shows three holes in a triangle pattern. holes look factory and unmolested.

                      vin S1217xx, silver pearlf139384815.jpgf142758511.jpg

                      Thanks,

                      Joe

The photo showing the firewall lacks the detail to see the location of battery cable clips which could be indicators.
