    Gary,
I didn’t take measurements when I restored my 67 but the bolt securing the Idler Arm to the frame bracket was original and untouched on my car. They were black phosphate. And, if memory serves me correctly, they were fine thread, not the -16 coarse thread. Image taken during disassembly.

        Gary,
You are correct on the bottom bolts and corresponding steering box bolts. Hard to see in the photo because of years of grime but there are nuts and lock washers on the 3 carriage bolts, which were also black phosphate and well protected by steering box grease leaked out over the years.

          Gary,

I believe all 1967 AIMs are missing that UPC 9 Sheet A2 showing the details of the idler arm and steering box, etc. Years ago John Hinckley posted that the 1966 AIM has the same info and posted a copy of it.

As far as the upper bolt..... 181365, I see no reference to it in any P&A catalogs I have access to. But take a look at the Standard Parts section in the 38-66 P&A catalog below.....(from this thread)

          P&A Standard Parts & Hardware.pdf

In the 3/8 bolt section it lists different part#'s for either the NC or NF 1" or 1 1/4" bolts. I'm wondering if that 181365 bolt was never available in service.

Gary I just did a quick search right here (181365) and found the answer from Joe. Yup, never available in Service.

Maybe check you settings for searches, there might be something set wrong. Threads, Posts and Subforums, etc. Only thing I can think of.

                          Gary,

You may have some default settings saved for Basic Search, that aren't including all posts and child forums(I.e. Subforums), etc. There are some dropdown menus embedded in the Search settings which may not search all Forums or some artifact left over from a past search. Set those parameters for All forums, and Child's, etc, and there's a Save Button to store them for further searches, Default or Advaned.

                          I think that's why it's not working.
