The GM #3744796 seal was NOT felt. It was black dense foam rubber. I'm attaching photos of an NOS example [not for sale]. I'm also attaching photos of an NOS GM #3793578 plastic washer [not for sale].

Remember these are production line products, "ship - do not hold the line up"
My Mar64 car has the lock washer and nut at all four locations, it's original.

I've seen those nuts in other locations so they were on the floor, therefore got used.
(Many cases where derivations from AIM existed)
Unless the 66 JG specifies that nut you should be all set.
