I'm curious as to which hammer is being used by the OP. I've always had success with original M-B or Thor hammers and have heard good things about the Mother Thumper. Do not use a "dead blow" hammer as it greatly dissipates the shock actually delivered to the spinner.

Hi- Great looking device- (for a specific Cobra wheel/spinner)- But I do not see how it would work on a Corvette KH K/O wheel/spinner?

A friend had a '65 with an original KO wheel stuck on the left front. He purchased the removal tool and it wouldn't budge. The lead hammer eventually got it off.

Re: Tactics to remove stuck knock-off wheels (C2)

I had a new 1966 BB with knockoffs. One night I hit a curb with the right front wheel. To get to the point. Grabiak Chevrolet could not get the wheel off either. So the mechanic named Timmy had the owner of the dealership check out the problem. Sam Grabiak told Timmy to get the wheel off in pieces. Just getit off and put new one.
Timmy used Hoopers method. He took a sledge to it.
To this day I never had a love for those wheels.
Story: I did not know until I joined NCRS in 1979 or later that a new Corvette with KO's from the factory had a KO spare.
My '66 had a black wheel spare. Hence the rattle that I would hear going over a bump. You figure out the rest. True story. JD

I've had stuck KO's , bought some of the pricey tools that didn't work. The original lead hammer is too light and has a steel pipe center which will damage the spinner after a few uses. I use the larger lead hammers available from many sources in different sizes and it always works. Well placed hits of course as I've learned to focus on each one til it's loose. Got lucky once as one hit was sloppy but no damage. Good luck

One idea is to place a piece of dry ice in the hub as it appears to be easy to place there, wait a while and hit spinner.

If the wheels were put on correctly this is way you should be removing the spinner on the left hand side. See below.

This is how the spinner will remove from the right side.

These are original set wheels. Note the original adapter are marked to the side they are installed. Hope you have had success in removing them.
