Re: 66 327 K19 Hose issue
Ryan------Long time listener, first time caller…I am working with my Dad on a restoration of my Grandpa’s ‘66 California car. We have found all of the hoses for the A.I.R. system with the exception of one. A short 5/8 ID ribbed heater hose with GM part number 3890406 (direct from AIM). I could not find one anywhere. Searched for weeks. I ended up just ordering a foot of ribbed heater hose and will cut it down. The only issue I have now is stamping the part number on there. Where can I go to get the right size part number stamp?
Have you checked Dr. Rebuild for the hose? They have a very wide selection of parts like these, many already GM part-numbered.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 66 327 K19 Hose issue
Got back a great response from Doc Rebuild for anyone in the same boat I am:
Sir
5/8" heater hose will eventually burn through due to hot exhaust gas. I only have bulk straight hose for 66-67 models; none with GM part number imprints. It is high temp genuine emission - smog hose. If yours is formed - i.e. molded - none here - it will kink if bent sharply. If straight - what length?
Note: 1st design smog hose is double extruded - meaning there is a layer of cloth between 2 layers of rubber. 2nd design - no cloth layer & that is what GM sold as bulk hose in 25 ft coils. 2nd design is superior to 1st in silicone rubber material composition for exhaust gas temps.
