study the AIM on all the heater box bolts/studs and make sure you remove them all. get a wide putty knife for the out side part to help remove. now is a good time to replace all the seals in the box, have a local radiator shop re-core the heater core and pressure test when done- Top

Oddly, the core had a bead of silicone caulk applied on the passenger side.
I read a post that said to replace the foam seal on the duct door requires drilling out two rivets.
Has anyone done this?

Next, clean, refinish and reinstall?
Thanks, again.
