If yes, what gloss level please.

And how much paint / how is it applied ( ie, uniformly, not…)

    Thank you
    Robert------

Yes, the fins are painted with the rest of the radiator. Radiator paint is available from Eastwood and others that's a reasonably good match.

The radiator paint was likely applied by the radiator assembly plant in Rochester New York. I doubt the radiator was installed in the car until after black out.

Joe L: do you have additional information on these details? Anyone else???

Yes, the radiators were definitely painted at the radiator manufacturing plant. The plant was in Lockport, New York. In fact, it's still there having been once "spun-off" as part of DELPHI (the "H" in DELPHI represents Harrison Radiator) but later separated from DELPHI and returned to the GM fold.

Thanks for the update Joe. I was pretty comfident you would have information to add. I should have known it was Lockport.

Anything to add about if the radiator was installed before black-out? I can't imagine the black-ot got to the front of the core support with the radiator in place and I can't picture the worker reaching over the radiator and core support without getting the black-out in more places than we see.

I suspect but do not know that the radiator was installed after black-out.

It was installed after blackout, though the support was in place during the blackout process.

That was my SWAG, and you and Joe confirmed my thinking.
