    Hi Sandro,

    Welcome to the TDB !
Looks like you have a very early '63 - #68 off the line !

Short of asking the previous owners more questions about if they have documents they haven't passed along, another way to find out if NCRS has documentation pertinent to your car is to click on the link below and review the Document Service options they present there.

You can get a shipper report which will tell you the day your car was shipped and the dealer it was shipped to

For original documentation you have in your possession, you can have those documents validated.

NCRS | Find historic information about your Corvette, Shipping Data information, Document Validation, Judging Award History

As for the window sticker, build sheet and options the car originally came with - NCRS does not have copies of those, but as stated above can validate some of them if you are able to find originals for your car and ask for the validation service.

    Good luck !
    thx, Mark

If the car still has the original tach and oil pressure gage, and red line is 6500 with an 80 psi oil pressure, that would be consistent with the previous owner's story. Lower numbers would indicate an original 300hp or 250hp. Also remove a valve cover and look at the casting date of the head. If the head is early enough to be original, it may be. The casting number of the head would be another clue to the original engine.

        Re: 63 window sticker

The 80 psi oil pressure gage with 340/360 HP engines was not installed until very late in the '63 model year when the oil pump pressure relief spring was changed to 55-60 psi, hot at 2000-up. Prior to this change the oil pressure gage for all '63 engines was calibrated to 60 psi and nominal hot oil pressure was 40-45 psi at 2000-up.

The 250/300 HP engines are equipped with a tach that has a redline beginning at 5300 and 6500 on 340/360 HP engines.

250 and 300 HP engines have different inlet manifolds and carburetors.

One is very unlikely to find any paper anywhere in/on a '63. The "tank sticker" glued on to the top of the fuel tank did not start until the '67 MY.

You should procure the following documents unless you received them from the prior owner

        1. 1963 Corvette Owner's Manual
        2. 1963 Corvette Shop Manual
        3. 1963 Corvette Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM)
        4. 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Vehicle Information Package (free download from www.gmheritage.com

If you plan on having your car judged, procure all the applicable NCRS judging manuals and score sheets.

Order a shipping report from NCRS and the information on the report try to match the shipping on your window sticker if the same ,like Patrick said check the casting date on cylinder heads, and block and stamp Pad see if everything lines up

I recall that documents for cars shipped to Canada for retail sale can be obtained from GM Canada, but don't recall the details or how to obtain them.

Ordered without a radio it appears.
The Canadian docs will give you the complete list of options installed on the car when it was built.

If you have the Canada docs then you have them, UNLESS you have the OLD OLD formatted sheets which included other cars shipped to Canada then you will not get anything new.
If you have copies of the OLD Green computer sheets which have the options listed horizontally across the sheets then by all means order new Candian docs as the format was updated at least 10-15 years ago making them much easier to decipher.
Currently they send copy paper sized sheets which list everything with the car centered down the sheets with option codes and descriptions.

Here is the link for Canadian Docs https://www.vintagevehicleservices.com/
It's been years since I ordered a set but IIRC 1997 is prior to the change in formats.
The old sheets show the information for multiple cars, so if you have the old style there could be another 10 cars(Corvettes, Impalas, etc) or more on the same sheet.

I have the old Canadian documents on my 67 Corvette. I think the new format will give you less information. The old format was a letter listing all the options on the car with the source material also included. The source material for mine was a sheet listing all the Corvettes imported into Canada in April 1967 with their vins, option codes and the codes for their keys. That was the documentation for my car and 25 others. I imagine they got a little worried about giving out the key codes for cars and quit providing the source document.

                              Hi Patrick,

Who was the letter from ?

and do you now why GM of Canada did it that way vs probably no such thing in the U.S. ?
                              thx, Mark
