1954 corvette distributor ground wire

The wiring diagram shows a ground wire at the distributor but does not designate the starting point or the termination point??

There is a pink wire from the ignition switch thru the firewall to a capacitor at the ignition shielding - on the back side it switches to a black wire that goes to the + side of the coil. There is a block on the side of the distributor that a black wire goes to the - side of the coil - Chris TiN Restorations
