                  Factory spec is 106.8 cc.

                      I just did a search on the other forum and only found one mention of the volume for the 842 heads and that person said he thinks it’s 106cc
                      For such an important component of engine building, surprised there isn’t more info out there

                          My GM performance books agree with the 106.8cc that Joe has posted. For comparison, the cast iron heads had a slightly larger volume of 109cc.

                              If you have nice unmilled heads and the volume is greater than 106.8, you should not worry. 106.8 might be spec for competition blueprinting that allows for some surface milling. My 67 L89 392 heads were about 106 but they had definitely been milled.
