I know. My point is Corvette parts are sometimes also used on other models. So expanding your search can be helpful.

        2. Bought the hose kit from Doc. No tubes in stock, though he provides a straight tube you have to bend yourself.
        3. I have lots of pics, wanted to come close to factory, will have to bend something up.

        Thanks all!

The part number is 6262965. This part number was PRODUCTION-only and never available in SERVICE. So, "NOS" is an impossibility.

If any supplier has it in reproduction, it will be Dr. Rebuild.

OK, so for those that might be interesed here's a few pics. First one is the original tube I was able to find. This find still boggles my mind. Anyway, the second pic is of the one I bent up using a bender that I made. Pretty spot on. The third is the original next to a practice one I made, pretty good. Took lots of tries. Enjoy!

So your bent piece does not have the hose stops the original has

the 454 must be extremely low build quantity and rare to not have a repro

Nice job Tom. Side note- I don't think the factory typically routed hoses through the hole in the engine lift bracket.

Re: 72 BB Vacuum Spark Tube

Tom and Anthony; here are pictures of an original 7K mi 1972 I owned with a June 10th stamped engine. Small differences on mine were the small additional bend in the tube between the cast 6 and 8 of the intake manifold and an additional tube bracket 2 intake manifold bolts rearward of the choke tube bracket. That second bracket is very different from the other bracket as it was bent differently as seen in the pictures.
I was the one who broke the tab on that bracket so I'm very aware of the difference. If you enlarge the engine image you can see the hose stops on the ends of the pipe.
The story about the orange paint on the vacuum advance hose (told by owner 2) was done by the dealer at delivery because of poor factory quality. Apparently they used a spray can and hit spots where the paint was flaking off; mostly on the valve covers. I used thinners and removed all that after pictures wer taken. I also cut a small strip of metal and cemented it on the broken bracket to make it look unbroken.

Re: 72 BB Vacuum Spark Tube

Thanks Len, great pictures. Is it safe to say the top of the clips are the same, but the bend is different at the back location to catch the tube after it makes a turn towards the solenoid? I'm wondering about bending up a repro. Also, between 8-6, it appears to bend up and down over the port to stay fairly tight to the manifold, is that true? Finally, is the tube fairly flat (no dips) up to and past the choke housing?

                      Cheers!

The "stops" on the tube shown on my engine and the original tube I pictured are there. I was not able to find the tooling (really just a simple tool) with 1/8" dies, 5/16 and up are easilly avaliable. That's why my "practice" tube and doesn't have them. The tube on my engine was straight with the stops and was given to me, maybe it came from the DOC. Anyway, the reason for the "practice" was to make sure that the ONE tube I had with the stops wouldn't get wrecked.

As far as the other bends, here's some pics. My original and the other "copies" are really spot on. Ask for more pics if you need them.

Years ago I researched an advanced tube fir a 70 L46. Was not available anywhere. The Dr site was always looking for a sample.
I had borrowed an original and sent to classic tube. They made a copy, and now offer in original metal or ss.
If someone is willing to loan you an original, I would imagine they will do the same for you
