            Joseph,

Congrats on your new '69 L89.

Try Kroil Oil, graphite or check with a locksmith to see what these use on the storage compartment.

Sorry, but WD40 is good stuff, but it's not a penetrating oil.

              Thank you Bill
Honestly, I don’t know what I’m going to do with this car.
I’m pretty sure that I’m going to put it back to original but I am also liking the 70’s modifications.
I have date correct tri power carburetors on there way along with a correct 797 intake manifold.
I’ve already made to trip to David Sokoloski’s warehouse and purchased date correct AG rims, trim rings annd center caps, all the TI stuff . Exhaust manifolds, AIR pipes, date correct correct smog pump, correct antenna, etc.

The engine does run, but I don’t know if the car will drive.

So for now, get it running and driving, clean it up and drive it.

                  Cool car.

I've never done this but can you push the center compartment liner out of the way enough to reach the RH compartment latch from below? If the liner needs to be sacrificed to do this it may be better to bust the RH latch and just replace that.

Also check if the door frame can be lifted from the floor. If lucky, maybe it was removed before but never refastened.

                          Joseph,
Are your other three C3 BB all stock? This is a "time capsule". If it were mine, I'd clean it up, service it and then enjoy the hell out of it. About the only thing I would "change" would be the exhaust tips. Super nice find and a nice addition to your, already impressive, collection.

                            Joseph,

As you may know, assembly line work is monotonous...you can really "zone out" after doing the same thing over and over again...

I don't know how many '68 F41s were made...maybe they ran out of (or somebody forgot to reorder) the F41s around when your car was built ?

Although not a Frame Upside Down Chassis line issue, another interesting thing is your job number got changed (175 overwritten on the 187 below)...is that shot on the firewall ?

There should be a job number handwritten on your tank sticker...is there enough left of it to see the handwritten number ?
If so, what is it ?

                            Happy Thanksgiving !
                            thx,
                            Mark

                              Thank you Chris.
                              The drivetrain is all original.
I have a early BB hood, in Safari yellow that I plan on putting on.
