I have purchased a used fuse block for my 57 (to replace mine that I broke). I would like to clean the contact surfaces of the rust. The tabs where the wiring harness connects are not that hard to get to, but the fuse contact points are more difficult. Specifically, I want to clean the inside part of the fuse holder where it actually makes contact with the spring clips on the fuse block.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could clean those surfaces? It is hard to get any sandpaper or steel wool down in there. Also. using something long and slender is hard because the ends of the fuse holders have those little "clips" to keep the fuses from sliding inside of the clips.
I was wondering if there might even be some type of cleaning solution that would remove rust.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ashley
