What is this eBayer talking about???

There's a '67 Corvette BB on eBay--item #280240507294--that the seller says is a 'real' BB and that "when chevrolet releases the records on all corvettes we will know which cars are small block that are now posing as big blocks". She says her husband is in the automotive business.

Since I thought all the C2 records were destroyed by Chevrolet, is this just some woman not knowing what the hel* she's talking about? (And, to be PC, I'm not degrading women)

We all wish! Nobody knows where the records are or what happened to them. Believe me, if they were out there they would have surfaced before now.

Actually it's going to happen after the election. Watch the nightly news. Apparently they found them buried under some Chevrolet Manager's porch.

        Larry !

For years, people have thought the records may turn up. I've always been on the "believe it when I see it" side, but you just never know.

It would sure throw a goofy twist to the hobby if those records ever surfaced !! I'm saying it will never happen.

            Larry

When the St.Louis plant was closed lots of documents were left behind. Take my word for it. I knew the guy that bought the property and I had free reign of the place.

There was an auction of the equipment and items like the trim tag machine were bought by private individuals and a whole lot more.

Don't under estimate what was saved.

              Joe;

I agree. When they closed down the old admin. building at the GM Locomotive plant where I worked they pitched out a whole lot of irreplaceable records, drawings, photos, and art work from way back in the early days of diesel electric locomotives. 75 years of history out in the trash. Some of us rummaged for what ever we could save, but there was just too much to go through and the practice was discouraged as they didn't want the rail fan magazines access to the "Mother Lode". What a shame, but that seems to be the GM way so nothing would surprise me.

Anything is possible. I mean what the heck, they just unearthed George Washington's boy hood home the other day and now they're looking for that cherry tree!

It is times like this that make me glad I own a `67 small block. Not only has there never been a financial incentive to mess with them, but these cars keep getting rarer as big block production continues to be on the rise.

I think we will see the GM documents when Hillarys billing records from the Rose Law firm are found...

Ah, James, you and I BOTH have an ultra-rare 1967 Chevrolet Corvette with the RPO BBD (Big Block Delete).

With a 63 there's no such problem. Making a 300 hp into a 340 or 360 hp does not carry the same financial incentive (about only $3000. according to last "Corvette Magazine" market report).

Jim, I think the only automobile records that Hillary kept were of El Caminos with Astro-Turf in the back.

Did they have such cars in Park Ridge back then or are you talking about her Arkansas days" I'm confused.
