Just got the new speedo fitting from Paragon, the one that goes in the trans, and the speedo cable attaches to when installed.
I have a question about the oil seal, which was installed in the fitting.
Should the seal be flush with the outside edge of the fitting, or should the seal be seated further inside the fitting ? (The pocket would allow that...)
The seal right now is flush, and making minimum contact with the speedo gear, just contacting the chamfer at the end.
If I would push the seal further in, it would actually work as a seal.
I am leaning toward pushing the seal into the pocket, so it contacts the gear shift, and not just the chamfer at the end.
