I'm in. Would love to save my original 63 windshield. Maybe I can then get the guy from the tv ad to fix the stone chips too. I hate mine for night driving the way it is.

Rich - could you also post a step-by-step description including products used?

Night driving is my issue also driving into the sun, I'd love to save it.

I am just finishing up the rear window on a 65 coupe and am starting the windshield. I have been completly blown away and astonished by the results.

Pat, I'll post all the info when I can.

George, I do. and if you look in the set of 4 picture I posted in the first post with pictures that is a progression of removing the VERY DEEP moulding wear marks.

Francis, Next week when I finish the windshield I will post pictures and a video of the reflections in the dark to show the results.

Pictures? What pictures? Now that you have lots of people drooling over the idea of fixing their glass please produce said pictures and name of said product.

Re: Glass polishing that REALLY WORKS!!

My windshield has wiper grooves plus several chips and at least one star and its not the original windshield anyway so it will eventually get replaced, but my side glass has vertical scratches I'd like to be able to fix.

I tell you tho, there is nothing makes a car seem new again like a fresh windshield. You can drive for years and it gets bad very slowly so you don't really notice, then you replace it (or I guess polish it) and the improvement is remarkable.

I was only able to get a few "teaser" photos in posts #14 and 15. The pictures in post 14 are of the progression of removing the moulding groves. The picture in post 15 is from the done side of the back window. I'll post more later today as I hopefully finish the rear winow.

Shows how far back I did this. They only had one back then -- a felt buff and abrasive powder.

                          I am all ears.
