    Stewy:

Of all people, I would'nt think that you would be concerned with gas mileage, especially the way that you exercise the "Carby".

My 64 has a 4:11 rear end and I've never checked the mileage. I don't want to know, and I don't really care that much. In fact, I don't check the gas mileage on any of the classics. I might start worrying about it and what would that do to the fun?

I bet the cops would like for you to pay more attention to gas mileage.

Paul I'm not concerned about the amount of gas my car uses. I was just interested in the amount of MPG it did. Because I drive the tupper ware car all the time I guess I kind of like to compare it to my wife's everyday driver.
I know my wife's car gets around 480 to 500 k's which is about 360 miles out of a tank. It has a modern 6.0 liter Chev in it. The new car hardly ticks over on the highway at 1800 at 60 miles per hour. It's not really much better than mine, so if you gave it the same gears it would probably be comparable.

The new stuff just doesn't sound the same Paul. When the Vacuum pulls the secondary butterflies open you can here the air whistle through the carby with that deep roar of air and fuel getting mixed together and burnt up it's ecstasy. I'm not real good for the environment burning all this fossil fuel, I better go and grow some trees to off set the carbon foot print ah !!!! Stewy
