    Judging on posi units

For flight judging is it recommended to have correct posi unit (date and stamped coded). I beleive i have a car with a service replacement, after reading many of the old post out there i am not sure what to do with it? Do i search for the correct unit or take the deduction? Opinions are appreciated.

The dates annd stampings on the differential are not judged. A service replacement - visually the same as an original - will not lose points.

        Chris,
Experienced Chassis and Interior Judges will, however, work together to confirm that a car with the Posi Instructions under the Jack Cover will also have a posi tag on the unit and Vice-Versa, or, both locations without.

          thanks
i was kinda concerned because the unit i have is a 3789812
cast date H275 with a thin p. Didn't know if i was getting to picky for the flight judging? Or do i need to track the correct unit down?

          My car is a late 57 (5277)

          thanks

Chris, the revised 5th edition 56-7 JM removed all of the "not judged" statements. Anything a Judge can see or get to underneath that's in the JM will be judged. '57 posi unit info is in the 5th edition. Gary....
