      Re: Got Fuelie problems?

      Tom,
my unit certainly needed more than a disassembly and cleaning. There is a lot of good information out there about going deeper than that, and with patience, and help, these units are able to be worked on by someone without a ton of experience. The key is to find the good information and not screw things up before you get the right information. Following a couple simple rules will get you 95% there.
      1. make sure the ignition system is operating correctly before looking at the fuel injection unit.
      2. make sure you have the correct parts for your unit
      3. make sure they are in spec and not worn out
      4. make sure all the mating surfaces are dead flat so there are no vacuum leaks
      5. follow the Manual for rebuilding and calibration
      6. the one I missed that someone will add.
