Anyone know this car? Interesting answer to the question of why there are no VIN or stamp pad pictures:
"LT-1 ZR1" on Ebay

Re: "LT-1 ZR1" on Ebay
I spoke to the seller a couple years ago when I was doing research to track-down the original purchaser of my '70 ZR1 coupe as both our cars were delivered in CA.
It was interesting to hear him tell the story of taking the car out of the basement along with all the fresh-take-off parts. Even back then he said something about the car being a college fund for his daughter. If I remember correctly, I think he even helped her into a Corvette as a daily driver.
I've never seen the car in person, but I agree with Warren - it sure it neat. And the history makes it even more unique. I expect he'll get his $150k reserve.- Top

Re: "LT-1 ZR1" on Ebay
Isn't this exactly one of the problems we continue to see:
"Corvette folks know the Bloomington Gold/NCRS awards shown verifies all the casting numbers and date codes are correct on this car (100%);"
This is in one of the answers to a buyer.VERIFY???

Re: "LT-1 ZR1" on Ebay
Those awards do not show all the casting and stamped #'s that are important to a car. There is no verification of rear axle assembly stampings, nor are there verification of transmission assembly stampings, as well as frame / vin derivative stampings.- Top

Re: "LT-1 ZR1" on Ebay
Kevin, that's what I was alluding to in my original post. First he shows an unsigned chapter NCRS award. Second, his comments above don't necessarily have anything to do with the authenticity of VIN and stamp pad numbers. That's why I said it was "interesting."
Not to say, the awards are only good for that moment in time..........- Top
