    Wiper Door Limit Switch Plug

The wires from the wiper limit switch on my 69 end in a plug that is not connected to anything. I suspect the female side of this plug is long gone. Can someone post a closeup photo of what these conncetions look like?

    Thanks!

        Dan,

replacement switches have no plug end. The originals are heat sealed into the rubber boot. You might be able to remove the old terminals from a bad switch and get the new ones to go in with some finagaling.

Rich - The wires and plug coming from the switch are fine. I am now trying to figure out what this plug plugged into. There is also a red wire that has been cut near the wiper motor that is just dangling. The car does not have the wiper override switch either. The wipers work fine with the exception of the wiper door closing too early, but I know that is another issue.
          Thanks for your help.

Great picture. Is your 69 a late or early production? Is there a difference?

              Hi Dan,
Here's a picture from a slightly different angle than Roger's. It might give you a clue where to look for the harness end of the connection.
You can see how short the wires are after coming out of the harness.
              Regards,
              Alan

Dan , one of those 12 reds will go to the wiper motor and the other will go down and through the bulkhead connector to the black knob wiper shutoff switch under the column between the 2 pulldowns.

Will it be obvious where it connects to the wiper motor? I am wondering if the motor may have been replaced by a non-Corvette part. Is that possible?

                    Thanks!

Very possible. I'll get you a pic of where the wire enters the motor.

Here you go,not the best pic but I think you can see it. You can see the 12 gauge wire,a black connector and then the smaller gauge red going in the side of the motor.

It appears as though your motor is not from a C3 with a wiper door.

Not sure how involved your going to get in bringing it back to factory but you might want to put a test light on the remaining cut off 12 red and see if it has power - turned on and off by the black knob under the column.
