Scott is the 6 in your example spaced away from the other three numbers?

      Hi Ron,

No, not really, now that I've looked at the photo again, they're all pretty much evenly spaced (see picture below). I think the blue writing is probably from a clock repair shop in the late 1970s (I have receipts for clock repair and then a follow up repair at the same shop).

        Ron & Scott,

Here's a pic of the back of my original clock with the number 0467. Per Ron's info on dates it would be the 46th day of 67 or February 15 which works for my car's March 23 birthday. Always wondered about that date, haven't tried to translate it until now.

For a lot of us, that's the date of the last time the clock was working.

Michael - you got that right! I'm going to have to send mine out - again

And on the dates, I think, from these examples, clear the dating method was 3 digits and the 4th being the year. All examples here fit.

Except the 433 on the 66 clock. The only thing I can think of is, it may not have the original back? Is it a 66 front and a 63 back?

Harry, I was thinking about this and forgot to put that in the post, do you have picture? Could it be there was a zero in front of the 433?

If you have your radio side panels off, it is not that hard to reach in there and pop the clips off to look at the back of the clock...

Paul indicated that the 66 clock was back in the car.
