Testing new bulbs before installing 1963 dash cluster

Is there a trick way to test the new bulbs I have purchased to make sure they work before installing the cluster. Should I just test each bulb individually with a 12 volt source? Thanks for all replies.

I recently did the same, I just installed all of the bulbsl(I had the cluster out), and then used a ground wire and touched each socket for a few seconds to test them. This checks the socket ground also.

p.s. If chinese bulbs, extend test time 300%.

Use a 9 volt battery is a quick way to see if they light up at least. No way to tell how long they will last
