    Transmission tunnel insulation

While the drive train is out of the car a friend is replacing the tunnel insulation. The AIM appears to depict the battery cable being installed along the right side of the tunnel wall then the insulation next. A friend thinks the battery cable should be installed inside of the insulation between the insulation and transmission. Which method is correct? Both?

    Thanks,
