In November of 2008 I bought my 2008 2ZL equipped Z06 after finding it on EBay. It was at an in-state dealer not too far from where I live. I did not buy it through the EBay process but waited and watched the to see what the top bid was. The auction ended without meeting the dealer's reserve so I contacted them to see if it was still available and bought it from them shortly thereafter. This was a 600 mile car and was bought for about 24k below the MSRP. EBay offers many choices. I would also consider AutoTrader.com or VetteFinder.com to buy or sell a late model.

I sold my highly modified 2005 on e-bay quickly and for a good price. I had it on Corvette Forum and I agree with others, there wasn't any serious action and the offers were very low. I would say with a late model you're better off with a broader audience, because it's entirely possible you won't be selling to a "vette guy". Quite often, the late model buyer is buying his first Corvette and won't be looking at the dedicated sites that we fanatics know about. I would put the car on e-bay with a "Buy It Now" price, but also with a "Best Offer" at a reserve you're comfortable with. That way, you're in complete control - people will shoot you their best offer which you can counter until you get a deal done, or pass and wait for someone better. It worked for me, although I live in NY, I sold it to a guy in FL who knew nothing about Corvettes except that he wanted one.
