Walnut shells or corncob media (think rifle reloading) via low pressure blaster.

I know one occasional (but well known) poster here who did this to remove black paint from interior parts and found a beautiful colored interior underneath.

Soda blasting at low pressure will do the same thing

You can try a towel with lacquer thinner on it, but doing a small section at a time. When the existing color is removed it would be a good idea to nuetralize it with simple green and water, a 50/50 combo. This method has worked for me in the past.

              Try http://www.citristrip.com/
I used it and it didi not damage the plastic underneath. You can get it at Walmart
Try in an out of sight area first to insure it does not damage the plastic
              Good luck, scott

I would remove parts from the interior & go with a low pressur blaster. Find some one that understands what you are trying to do as not to alter the original finish.
