C1 Front Crossmember to Frame Bolt Torque spec

What is the correct torque specification for the 16 bolts/nuts that attach the front crossmember to the frame on a 1954? Also is there a specification for the 4 bolts that attach the front thrid arm bracket. Did not want to strip any threads in the cast piece....
    Thanks

    John,

Didn't see any torque specs in the ST12. The bolts are 3/8 inch Grade 2. You might check for torque specs on a Grade 2 bolt/nut.

Might send Tom Parsons an email.

      John,

I can't speak about a 1954, but the 1961 AIM indicates 15 - 20 lbs ft for the crossmember bolts.
