Reading this post has me wondering (sorry to redirect a bit)........... When it comes to painting my Bridgehampton Blue 71 (possibly late winter 2013), will I run into the need for this type of research, or is that color formula pretty well sorted out?

PS: the car was painted once in te late 70's / early 80's - correct color repaint. Jambs appear to be untouched so I may be able to find some areas of original paint to compare to.

Follow up - just back from an 8 hour round trip visit to Kenn Scribner's house. In a previous post, he stated he had what he believed was an original paint Laguna car. He invited, and I drove to satisfy myself that my headlight bezel was also in fact original paint. Luckily for me, last night I realized I also still had the rear valence panel with paint on it. It has several cracks and distresses so I had purchased an NOS one to use and forgot about the original. Needless to say, I took it with me this morning to Kenn's house. I can say with certainty that my rear panel matched the paint on his car perfectly. My headlight bezel was questionable and seemed a bit too bluish. Based upon the condition of his car and what I saw, I can't see anyone questioning the originality of his paint. Since my panel matched his car, seems to be lacquer, has several runs, and there is no paint on the turned under lip, I'm 100% confident I have an original reference point for Laguna Gray. Thanks to everyone who has assisted in my journey!
