My 65' 365 Nassau Blue convertible (white int.) was built on November 13, 1964. My mother gave birth to me on November 13, 1964 at 3:45 in the afternoon (second shift at St Louis?). My car was reunited with me in February 2013......we celebrated our 50th birthday together....worth the wait.

Now THAT'S cool!!! Kinda one of "those meant to be" things.

I wrote the check for my new 1954 Corvette on March 17, 2015, so I guess I've owned it almost exactly three months. That three months seems like an eternity because it's having some sorting out work done on it; correcting electrical issues, fix radio and clock, door and hood alignment corrected, HEI installation, rack & pinion steering. Someday I might actually get to drive it.

I own 3 Corvettes and the '61 I've had since late 2008, the Mosport Green 66 L79 Coupe since '89 and the Black 65 L75 Coupe (aka: 'Frank') I bought in April of 1985.

Growing up in good ol Trenton NJ, rubbing two dimes together trying to make a dollar, I was often told as a kid to get the idea of owning a Corvette out of my head by many. My dad on the other hand always talked about how he regretted never buying a used 58 and kept my passion alive. I now own 3. I bought my 1st Corvette, 88, Z52 in Dec of 90. I am currently in the process of selling this one, time to pass it on to someone else. This is the 1st Corvette I've owned and the 1st one I'm selling-- mixed emotions on that. IMG_0867.jpg

Purchased my first one a 1986 Red/Red Coupe with only 12,000 original miles in May of 2000. Sold it last October 2014 with only 18,000 miles on it. Purchased my second a 1973 convertible L48, 4 speed last April. Really enjoying restoring it and driving it.

I picked up my 1970 LT-1 February 29, 1970. Yes, it was a leap year.

Terry- 1970 wasn't a leap year. Maybe delivery was February 28?

My father bought a new '59 May 1, 1959
He passed it to me May 18, 1963.
Some of it is in the garage; much of it is in the basement...

Too funny! Don't forget to re-assemble it in the garage... not the basement!

I bought my 1971 a few months ago from the original owner. The original owner bought it new -- on the day I was born. The exact day. He kept it 44 years, and that's how long I plan to keep it, if I can make it to 88.

THANKS GUYS It's nice to hear these stories especially after spending a day at the BJ auction. People flipping Corvettes they bought 3 auctions ago to make money & others just buying them because they want to be on TV & impress the trophy wife. Most wouldn't know how to get the headlights up on a C-2. Too many people with too much money. These stories are a breadth of fresh air.

You sure nailed it with this post. All this talk about buying cars that were bought or built on their actual birthday.

I guess I should post here if anyone has a March 2nd build '57 Corvette they want to sell I guess I can take out a mortgage on the house.

I have owned several, all but two have been solid axles. My 1960 has been at my house for 31 years.
