      DonO,

I are doing a frame off on a 1969 convertible and would like to have a copy for a 1969. I agree to never sell or redistribute the AIM database Donald Olson (17357) for a 1969 Corvette. Thanks Steve Morrow

Don, I might have asked you in the past but is there a way to use this with an iPad or a Mac computer. Thanks, jeff

          Re: AIM databases

Microsoft Access will not run on a MAC (OSX). You can however install a Virtual Machine on OSX using VMWare or Parallels Desktop. Either of those products will allow you to run Windows on a MAC. I don't know how the Access package was designed and I have extensive experience with that product.
There are two ways of doing this. The first way would be to supply a database and use Access to run it. In that scenario you would have to have the Access program (not free) installed on your Windows PC. This is just like getting an excel or word file and opening it up with either Word or Excel.

The other way is to create a stand-alone Access application which would require a run-time version of Access (free). That combnation would still require a Windows operating system

So either way you would need to run a Virtual Machine on the MAC. I run VMWare which is somewhat of a industry standard. If you are not very technical when it comes to computers and operating systems, I would avoid this altogether but at that point you would not be able to use the AIM Database.

Has anyone heard back or received a reply for these requests? I know that I haven't and I'm wondering if this database is still available?

I took John up on his very generous offer and he was able to upgrade my AIM database that I received from Don and I am now able to view. Just wanted to give John a public "shout out" for helping members with this issue.
