    quality lifts

Would like to hear experiences of members with Quality Lift brand 4 post lifts updated. All good? Any problems; workmanship?, installation? most importantly, any safety issues such as partial or complete fall of lift or vehicle? I'm looking at them for 2 car storage and use for car maintenance. Thanks

    Re: quality lifts

I have a pair in my garage, both of them have performed well over the three years I have had them. The only small problem was a small leak in the hydraulic cylinder shortly after install, they came out and exchanged it quickly, no questions asked. I would recommend.

      Re: quality lifts

Hi, My company sells Quality lifts and we've had no service related issues with them out of the ordinary. Challenger Lifts ( Louisville KY) import these from China and it is their "economy" offering. Challenger is one of two approved suppliers to GM,Ford, Chrysler, Walmart,AAmco,
and others where the lifts require heavy duty on a daily basis. They have strict standards for all products they offer. It's a safe bet.

Hi William -- Make sure you have enough ceiling clearance (usually 11' for full size lifts with vehicle onboard). Rey Stenhouse 72 LS502 Coupe.

I have a Quality Lift in my garage, supplied and installed by one of our very own NCRS members. I've had zero issues with it since installation and would recommend it highly....

              Re: quality lifts

I bought a 4 post (Direct) and installed it this last week. I wish I had had a pro to install it. We got it set up and working fine. However, the shipping container weighed almost 2000 lbs. The runways, especially the one with the hydralics in it, were extremely heavy. I bought a Rotary 2 post lift in 2006 and had a professional installer to put it in. At that time it cost about $500 to do that (probably more now). I should have done that this time. Good luck.

What is the floor to ceiling height measurement of your garage?
                Thanks

Rotary's 'economy' brand is Direct Lifts. Made in China but to Rotary's specs and quality control. One of the few 'hobby' lifts , I think, to be certified by ANSI. There were two of them at the New Orleans Regional Meet this weekend. Derek Weaver Company in Fort Worth is where I bought mine. Mike

Actually, Rotary's hobbyist lifts are called "Revolution", not Direct.Check the Rotary web site. Didn't Direct go out of business? Did someone pick up the company?
