    Ian,

My 60 has what I firmly believe are the originals. They have a circle marking on them. Reading the JG they use the word "typical" when referencing the "TR" marking. This leaves the door open for other variations which mine would fall under.

My 59 has a recessed head with a shoulder and a dimple in the center. I can't say for sure they are original, but they certainly fit the time period.

Good enough for me... Thomas, if it isn't too much trouble, would you mind checking the length of one of your original bolts? I've found appropriate repos of the 1/4 bolts in 7/8" and TR ones in 1".

          Paragon:
3744K-5 dash cluster housing bolts (recessed head C headmark 1/4 7/8"
          11211K rear exhaust panel kit (TR 1/4 1" t)

            Ian,

My 60 is tucked away for the winter at a storage facility and I won't be out that way for a while. The 58 I'm working on did not have the correct bolts on the striker, so I will be using aftermarket ones such as the ones offered by Paragon.

Of the two Paragon numbers you asked about, the 3744K would be the closest.

            The 11211K is for 68-72 cars, not a 60.

yep, but the The 11211K kit includes two TR 1/4 1" bolts that seem correct per the JG... Though not like what people seem to have on their cars.

I just check the ones I removed from my 59 and the total length is 1 1/4" with 1" in thread

Thanks for taking the time! So 7/8" bolts probably won't be long enough, especially with one or two spacers...

I have a space plate and the catch. 7/8" may work.
