Thanks! I am very confident I will be up and running soon. Unless something freaky is discovered I believe I will be driving this car back home. I miss it already!

Yes there have been MANY that have stepped forward both directly on the forums and behind the scenes. So many wonderful people in the hobby.

              Re: Help needed in Kissimmee

              I have an update!!!!!

It has been determined that my car will probably be operational this Friday afternoon. Something extraordinary would have to happen for it not to be operational. My friend who has the car in his garage has assisted me in finding someone to come to the house to do a correct repair. It should take only a few hours to complete.

I have a short window of opportunity to get the car this week and Friday is actually perfect timing. I have something going on Saturday and Sunday (but those plans are up in the air but I have to assume I will be busy and can't pick up the car on those days).

The plan is that I will go up Friday with an afternoon arrival. Pick up the car. I like to take a couple of folks who have been wonderful for early dinner and beers for their generosity. Afterwards I head on home and this chapter will finally end. That is the best case scenario.

The worst is something extraordinary happens and I have to return home either late that night or the next morning, with no vette.

At that point I will have to identify the problem and consider additional options. So right now I am looking for a friday trip back to Orlando.

Everything is gonna work itself out. Thank you to all who have given me valuable assistance.

NCRS has no ribbon police. You got it you own it. The Sportsman Award should be the least of your concerns at this point.

We won't ask for the ribbon back for a Sportsman car that broke. You drove it there and inteded to drive it home, works for me.

Sweet! I don't want to be teased like I was the marathon runner that hopped in a taxi cab to the finish line and got first place. LOL! Terry pretty much summed it up. The plan is that I will be driving it back on Friday. Better late than never.

Well I am on schedule to go back to Orlando tomorrow to reunite with my big red car......

I am looking forward to bringing her home safely.

Then I can start getting ready for the first judging event. I have a bunch of original parts from the previous owner.

I just have to pick which one I should put back on the car first.

Use the judging manual to determine which parts have the most originality points and then look at condition points compared to the part. Have a safe trip back south.

Thanks Joel....I got a big surprise to share with the forum soon....It is a BIG ONE....that is another story for a different day. Plus I want to make sure it becomes a reality before I spill the beans.

I was able to get a screaming deal on a one way rental car on priceline. One way rentals usually end up being hundreds of dollars. Not this one.....Price is around $25 bucks for 24 hours. I took that one. So I am gonna hop in the rental tomorrow and head back to the scene and pick up my red beauty.

I have considered it and I will absolutely do this. It will be my pleasure. I am in the process of going back to Orlando tomorrow to get my car back so my first experience is still in process. Is there a deadline you have to meet? I will do my best to meet it. Best regards.
