Re: Beware of 1954 Corvette scam listing on eBay -- my car is being "sold" by a scamm
It has occurred to me that maybe the scammer never intended to "sell" the car on eBay, but was using eBay mainly for advertising and was always planning for the bidders that would contact him after the auction ended when the "reserve" wasn't met. So maybe he always intended to complete the scam outside of eBay. Otherwise, as others have pointed out, why would he have any "reserve" at all? And the other item he is "selling," the overpriced sunglasses, have been listed and re-listed for the entire time he has listed the Corvette. I guess they are supposed to make him appear to be a legitimate seller, with multiple items for sale.
