Re: NCM Sink hole swallows display cars

Also, it does not have an FI emblem, so it must be a different car. Regardless, it's sad to see this happen.

Mike, if you click on the google link, and then click on the photo's to enlarge them for viewing, you can see MASSIVE open spaces to the sides of the hole....This just blows my mind.....

Was thinking the same thing. I'd be afraid to go near it, much less go in there to start the recovery/removal process.

              Brace Yourselves

Due to the sinkhole that we all hoped would form under Washington DC, but instead chose the museum, brace yourselves for the tidal wave of jokes from the Ford camp. It's on a pretty tall tee for them at this point.

As a lifetime member, I was very saddened to hear of this tragedy this morning. I hope that the cars can be recovered and restored to there original condition....I wish the museum good luck

                  Re: Brace Yourselves

It's truly a shame, but we can be thankful the museum was not open to the public at the time. Had it been full of people the results could have been MUCH worse. As hard as it for me to look at the photos lets remember cars can be replaced, people can't.

Uh I'd get that car of yours the hell out of there by any means possible. That building is NOT stable. Wish you well on it.

I believe that the 62 and what looks like the 09 blue devil are easy, so to speak, saves if no further floor collapse, they were allowed to get the only 83 out which is great.

Wayne, One of the pics shows two or three rebar in it. Maybe the rest caved in.
