This is indeed possible. We need to create additional icons with something in it to highlight there is something to read in that particular forum (like a color change or something else). We are just working on some of the other (minor) issues we have encountered before we can start working on this feature...

Have a look now at the Help forum icon. It will be with white HELP characters if there is something to read and when all is read it has green HELP characters....

White letters now, of course. I'll watch it.

An observation from an admittedly non-computer person - do about two more of these "upgrades" to get to "Facebook" and "enhancements" that seem to do absolutely NOTHING that was not available before and the result will be that you only THOUGHT that participation on the TDB was pathetically low before.

                  John,

Yes, I see that now. Sometimes, it would appear, last doesn't mean "last".

                    Dennis,

There were a couple of duplicate entries on the Navbar that made it longer than necessary. I have removed the extras that should help a little. There is no way to wrap the Navbar for smaller screens. There is a Theme for cell phones that we may explore installing at some point in the future. Not sure how many users are viewing the TDB from smart phones.

                      Re: Upgrade Bug Report

Each forum has an Icon at the left of it. The Technical Discussion Board for instance has a picture of the first 53 coming off the assemby line. Double click on that icon to indicate you have read everything in that forum you would like. It will then change to the C1 emblem. It will stay that way until there is a new post.

Each forum has four icons to indicate different states. Two different icons and then two of the same with a lock on them to show that the forum is locked like the Archives.

                        John,

That corrected most of the overlapping menu items. All that remains now is the search box is located over Driveline on
                        line.

FYI, I wasn't using a cell phone. I was using an iPad.

                        Thanks for a quick response.

                          Read vs non-read posts -

I see that posts I've read show in the "thread view" at the top as white, the non-read as blue.
Could we go back to yellow for non- read ones? and possibly blue for read ones?

In this new sea of white with blue trim, it's more difficult to see the non-read posts if you are scrolling through that thread view.

Many, though I usually don't given the small screen size.
Watch how many people are logged in for hours. I'd bet that they are logged on via their phones.

                                Rob,

I like reading the forum with the iPad also. Actually, when we were having difficulty with the social media icons slowing down the board, the iPad was least impacted by it. That's how I got hooked.
