    Re: Upgrade Bug Report

On the old board, after clicking new post, the number of unread threads appeared at the top of the page on the right side. I haven't found this feature on the new board. Is it still available? It was handy knowing how much time you needed to read all of the posts.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

Ok, I just found the thread counter at the bottom of the page. Any chance of moving it back to the top?

Not sure how many users are viewing the TDB from smart phones.
      John,

Thanks to you and Rob for all you do. I don't know if your post implies a poll or not, but for the record I do view the tech board from my iPhone sometimes.

Sometimes the site just goes off into loading a new page (like a picture) and just gets lost, little circle in upper left just shows loading . . . . Usually go off to other site and then back to NCRS site at beginning since previous attempt to load a page never happens. In extreme cases must log off net & then back.

Why under the new "look" my Profile information appears in the middle of the page instead of under the Header Bar like the others? Example..my Corvettes, NCRS Chapter etc?

            Thanks.

The Facebook and other links didn't slow down the speed on my end, but the new format sure does.

I'm still having to log on most of the time even though I clicked on "remember me". Does that mean some more changes were made and I need to start all over?

                  Thanks very much!
I'm used to using the IMG code but will start looking at the Direct Link box.
                  Happy New Year!

No, not really. Sounds like your NCRS cookie is removed frequently???

                      John,

You will now find when you last logged in and how many unread posts you have right under your name and above the rotating ad. You can click on Unread Posts and it will open a window with all of your unread posts listed.

Any chance that next to the New Posts link in the upper left hand we could include a counter?
On the other forum I use with this software it automatically tells me how many new posts there are.
I know that this is presently under our name at the upper right, but there is no link at that location to new posts.
See pic below for the counter (which was 0 when I just went to steal the pic).

Also, could a "Preview Post" button be added next to the "Quick Reply" or "Go Advanced" on the lower left corner when making a new post?
Or is there a "Go Advanced" default?
I always prefer to preview my posts, and it now takes extra clicks.

                              Rob -

Maybe it's just these old eyes, but it's difficult for me to tell the difference between the "no new posts" and "open with unread posts" envelope icons that precede each thread title on the main page without squinting; is there a way to make the difference between the two more obvious? Or use a stronger bold treatment on the thread title when there are unread posts?
