    Re: Car next to me....

    JAck et al,

I, and the rest of the folks in the Illinois NCRS, know that black car - but few of us have ever seen it. It spends most of its life out of sight. 390 hp Insurance agent. I think we have judged it once at our chapter, and it has never been to any other NCRS meet. I'll bet it has not been to more than 6 judges events in its lifetime.

However, Jack speaks the truth about the finish.

      Terry,

Six judged events is more than most Corvetes will ever see. :)

In fact, I'll bet you could get a Duntov in six events. But, I understand your point.

        Good Point Pat...

you are quite correct. Even though we have been judging 1967s since 1978, and "the other Illinois folks" have been at it for just as long.

Still pains me not to see that car more often....

          Re: Good Point Pat...

Owner, wish I could remember his name as I really got along well with him, said he only took the car out on special occassions. His first 'turn off' was at NCCB/Bloomington where judges deducted for this/that and he laughed (they didn't have Survivor class then) and took a hike....

But, he mentioned, he got periodic calls from various members of the Bloomington judging team over the years and his mood softened with respect to judging. If fact, there were a few 'bets' I made about his car that he/we took (owner-owner fun) that resulted in removing this and and. We both learned and had a great time in the Windy City!!!
