This is an update on a previous string of posts on the ebay 67 L88/300 HP that started Thursday, 22 Dec at 9:36 AM. The ebay listing is still running as of 8:45 AM today. Ebay #4599356175.
Re: AND NOW THE TRUTH
Michael Hanson -- Saturday, 24 December 2005, at 11:39 p.m.
I wonder if it would be possible to advertise the original 300 HP paperwork for that car on ebay in an auction that ends just about exactly the same time that the auction ends for the car? There's almost four days left on his auction now so if the original paperwork auction was started Sunday night and ran for three days, they could both be together at the end, one above the other. I suppose using the L88 engine code in the listing/heading would draw attention.

I would be happy to do this.

I think that's a very clever idea. The ideal seller would be G.L. Anderson of course. Please do it.
If Mr. Anderson doesn't have an eBay account, I would be happy to use mine to run the auction. All I would need is an e-mail from him with a scanned copy of the original sales records that I could post with the auction description.

Oh I do have an ebay account. I am thinking of emailing him and giving him one chance to pull the ad before I take steps to burst his balloon. Thought I would get Christmas out of the way first. GL

Even better, bury his ebay item # in the ad somewhere, so a search pops up your ad too.
Heh heh.
Merry Christmas.

Good idea Patrick. His ad will have exactly three days left tonight so if a three day ad is posted this evening at just about exactly the same time as his ending time, they will be together. The car listing ends at 17:51:42 PST (5:51 PM PST)
As far as I'm concerned, he already had his chance to ease back out of this deal but, instead, chose to boldly stick to his story. I'm really tired of all this phony nonsense with bogus cars, paperwork and phony private auctions and I think the only way to slow it down is to expose as many as possible. It's giving our hobby a bad reputation.
I wish this was a new thread so a lot of people would see it. I'm not afraid to voice my opinion and I'm glad that the majority of others on this board feel the same way.

Copy of email sent to ebay seller.
Sir. It would be in your best interest to do one of
the following. Remove your ebay ad on the supposed
1967 L-88 Corvette item number 4599356175, or revise
the ad to state the truth, the car is not a genuine
factory built L-88, was built from a small block car
and the supporting documentation or copies there of
are fake. Much of the Corvette world has been notified
that the car is a fake and your documentation is
fraudulent. Should you choose to keep up this charade
I will be forced to take further action to make the
truth known to those ebay buyers that may not be
involved with Corvettes and don't know the real truth
about your car. Beyond the ebay world I will be
working with my attorney and law enforcement about the
misrepresentation of the car and falsification of
documents. You have until 10 PM 25 December 2005 to
remove or revise the ad or I will be forced to take
further action. Don't bother to email me back with
some BS about what I know and can prove and what you
don't know and can't prove. GL Anderson

I don't know what you mean by "removed". It wasn't ended early. I hit the refresh icon too. Is my computer operating in another dimension?
I even searched for auctions under that seller's name and found it again.

On the ebay listing yesterday I posed specific questions to seller whether the car was originally a Shriner car and whether the car was the exact original block or a restamp. The question never was posted or anwered on the listing site. Dont know if this is a violation of ebay listing agreement, but will contact ebay tomorrow. You guys have integrity and iron you know whats to pursue justice...keep up the good work..brad
