Quite a few views but almost utter silence from the members. Possibly waiting to see what/how the board resolves the issues. I know I am.

Mark The minutes have to be transcribed by the Secretary .They are than sent to the Board members for reveiw and accurarcy and any additions
After comments and approvels they will be posted on the member news section on the website. This section is under services.
The process usually takes one to two weeks depending on personel schedules.
Please keep in mind that we volunteer our time .

Attendance at in person Board meetings has always been open to the members and will continue to be the policy.
The Board can address the issue at a future Board meeting.
How does the membership go about making a change such that the entirety of all future board meetings, outside of executive session, be recorded and provided to the membership?

Thanks for posting that, Vinnie. To my compleat satisfaction, it clears up the reason behind why one meeting was recorded and another wasn't.

So are you saying all the views expressed here are not from members? Or are you saying a certain % quorum of members is necessary to make any views valid?

                  Mark,

Thank you for your clarifications on the overall process for finalizing meeting minutes.

And yes, I am fully aware of the volunteer status and greatly appreciate there are people like you; Regional directors; and MANY others who put as much effort into NCRS as you do !

and here's the link I think you are referring to:
NCRS | Access important National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) documents. Find official forms, guidelines, and resources related to membership and Corvette restoration activities.
                  thx,

I am trying to process and understand all this. If the board voted to never allow meetings to be recorded, and one was, and so it was not authorized, legal, approved, or whatever, but none the less posted for us all to see then on the NCRS TDB. we are all supposed to unhear and unsee what we saw and heard in that 5 hour video, and ignore it all and never expect that again? I guess I wonder how many other meetings were like that dumpster fire and we never knew and will now never know. I guess we should all just stop being interested, stop asking questions, and just accept whatever the BOD and employees say from now on.

"Agree 100% Dave. Some of us care about this organization and contribute greatly to it. We need to know what the BOD is doing on behalf of the NCRS"

Diane, I would like to trust that you and a few others "care about this organization", but could you please tell us what you contribute to "more greatly" than members like Roy Sinor, Vinnie Peters, and Harry Sadlock have done and do for the NCRS?

There were two recorded and posted Zoom meetings: one in October and the one in January.

This comment is bordering on saying that there are tiered levels of active membership depending on how long a person has been a member, how much of a volunteer they are, how much time or money they have to commit to the NCRS, etc. Are you really wanting to go there?

Did you miss how those recordings came to be and how their existence was at odds with the stated policy of the young lady to whom you refer?

Well, let's begin with Fall, page 49, #4: "Board decided not to electronically record any Board meetings, regardless of venue." I'm not sure why you say it's the stated policy of Shannon Urton – seems to have been a Board policy – and I didn't refer to Shannon at all.

Next, my reply that there were 2 posted Zoom meetings was only a correction to your statement that it was just one.

Lastly, where was the Board when it came to enforcing the new June 21, 2022, policy come October and January when the Zoom meetings were posted?

Owen, from the Bylaws that I asked you to read.

                                ARTICLE XIII: AMENDMENTS

The Board shall have the power to make, amend, and repeal the Bylaws of the National Corvette Restorers Society, Inc. by a two-thirds vote of a majority of a quorum of the Board and can do so with and without advanced notice to the membership. The Board shall review any recommendations submitted, in writing, by the membership to the Board pursuant to the NCRS Policies and Procedures Manual.
