John will certainly be remembered for his Corvette activity but those of us that have known John for over 50 years will always think of John as a restaurateur and Caesars restaurant. He was honest and credible in everything he did.

So sorry to hear this. I would see John every year at Carlisle in just walking around. He did a fuelie unit for a 58 I was restoring about 7 years ago. As said by many beyond the Corvette expertise he was just a true gentleman respected by everyone.
May he RIP and kind thoughts to his family and friends.

WOW! Just saw the thread on JD passing! He and I used to talk for many hours on the phone and in person not just about Corvettes, but life in general. Will truly be missed! RIP Che Pharte!

John and I have been good friends and I did all my fuel injection business with him for over 35yrs.
We had some good times at Bloomington.

Shocked doesn't even come close. You never even think it will happen to some, the truly great ones but it has
once more. Great knowledge and even greater the way he treated others. Years ago he gave me, probably unreservedly so, what I consider the best compliment I have ever received. Great journey JD. I hope we all get to see you again one day. Thoughts and prayers to your friends and family.

I'm VERY shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing. He was the kind of guy we thought was "always going to be there" but, most sadly, that's not the way it is for John or any of us. My most sincere condolences to his family.

Well, i have finally built up the energy and strength to post this. As we all spend time in this organization we build special bonds with people we would never have met if not for NCRS. John was one of those people. Although our conversations usually started out about Fuel Injection items or issues, they always ended with a discussion about something completely outside of automotive subjects. It was usually family or cooking. Sometimes it was only cooking. I'll miss that interaction and John's friendship! RIP my friend!

R.I.P. John it was always a pleasure talking to you about back in the day and sometimes about F.I. problems. The N.C.R.S. will miss a great member.
