It appears the block of rooms at the Embassy Suites are all booked...the group code 921 is not being honored online. I'll call them in the morning to see if any are still available, as the block isn't supposed to be released until after 9/25. The backup Home2 Suites is honoring the rate online.

I presume for trailer parking we have to be booked at the Embassy, yes?

David, trailer parking is independent of the hotel booking. The hotels and trailer parking are within easy walking distance of each other as is the Convention Center. I'll approve your registration this morning.

Thank you for signing up your '66.

                Re: Texas Lone Star Regional

                PM'd you Dan.

I confirmed by phone that the Embassy released the block on 9/17, more than a week before the 9/25 date specified in the event information. I didn't ask why, but I'm sure it was because all the available rooms were taken. As of this morning, the Home2 Suites has rooms available at the same rate using code CHT912, and the Hampton Inn next to that has rooms for about 10 bucks less.

Here is our Texas Regional car count as of today.

                  95 (2), 03 (2), 06.
                  Concours 62, 63, 67, 69.
                  PV 54, 66 (2), 67 (3), 03 (2).

Car registration is set to close in one week and team leaders will choose their judging teams shortly after that date so the judges have time to make travel plans and hotel reservations. If any car registrations attempt to come in after October 1, they will need to be approved as a late registration. Since judging team invitations will have been sent out on October 1, it may be difficult to accommodate some cars after that date.

I'm going to make phone calls this week to rustle up some additional '67's as we have three for Flight Judging at this point and I'd like more.

Sign up this week, there is still plenty of time.

Here is our current car count for the Texas Regional. Calling all 1967 Corvettes, we have three for Flight Judging, one for Concours Judging, and three for PV Judging. We sure would like to have more 67's for Flight Judging.

Registration will close on Tuesday, October 1 at midnight. You have all day Tuesday to register your car for display or judging.

                      Flight 58, 61, 63 (3), 65 (2), 66 (3), 67 (3), 69 (6), 71, 72 (2), 73, 75, 78, 80,

Why do you want more 67s? There are a dozen other C1-C3 years not represented at all. Is 2024 a special commemorative year for the 67?

It is always a bit amazing to me the mystique of the '67. Back in 2017, when it was the year of the '67, the Texas Regional and San Antonio National was packed with a couple dozen + '67s. But even now, they endure, weren't there like 30 at the Hampton Roads National? Of course that only applies to big blocks and mostly L71s, the small blocks are not very popular.

Are you sure Chevrolet even put small blocks in 1967?

I don't think it's a secret that 1967 BB are the most popular, desired, lusted after Corvettes in the entire history of earth. Seems reasonable that any meet sponsor would want as many as they can get.
